PATHWAYS is Toastmasters’ new education program! It serves as the foundation of your Toastmasters experience, and is designed to help you build the competencies you need to communicate and lead.
There are 11 Pathways that you can choose from, based on your personal and professional goals. No matter which Path you choose, you will complete at least 14 educational projects and present a minimum of 15 prepared speeches
Our Four Guiding Principles
Since Toastmasters was founded in 1924, our education programs have been driven by four guiding principles:
By giving speeches and fulfilling leadership roles, you practice and improve.
Grow and improve your public speaking and communication skills through honest and supportive peer evaluation.
Experienced mentors encourage, guide and support you in your goals and help you to achieve more than you thought possible.
Develop skills at your own pace and comfort level

Club President 2020/2021
Castlebar Toastmasters Club is a non-profit educational organisation that empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. The Club held its first meeting in September 2016 and is affiliated to Toastmasters International which has a global membership of 358,000 strong, attending 16,800 clubs.
While Toastmasters is a Global organisation, the club, based in the local community is very much at its core. Our members come form Castlebar and many of the surrounding towns and villages. We are one of four clubs in Mayo along with Westport, Ballina and an advanced club in Claremorris.
By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge. Members learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback –– and accept it. They find their path to leadership.
I hope you have the opportunity to attend one of meetings and would encourage you to come along to our next meeting as our guest. If you want to find out more, please, drop us a note through the contact for or via Twitter or Facebook, or give me a call on (094)9067080 / (087)2254698
