Education is an important part of every Toastmaster’s journey. Participating in Toastmasters’ education programs allows you to gain the valuable practice needed to develop your public speaking, communication, and leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment.
PATHWAYS is Toastmasters’ new education program! It serves as the foundation of your Toastmasters experience, and is designed to help you build the competencies you need to communicate and lead.
There are 11 Pathways that you can choose from, based on your personal and professional goals. No matter which Path you choose, you will complete at least 14 educational projects and present a minimum of 15 prepared speeches
Our Four Guiding Principles
Since Toastmasters was founded in 1924, our education programs have been driven by four guiding principles:
By giving speeches and fulfilling leadership roles, you practice and improve.
Grow and improve your public speaking and communication skills through honest and supportive peer evaluation.
Experienced mentors encourage, guide and support you in your goals and help you to achieve more than you thought possible.
Develop skills at your own pace and comfort level

Club President 2021/2022
Welcome to Castlebar Toastmasters. My name is Ann Moloney and I am very honoured to have been elected President of the club for this coming year 2021 – 2022.
Castlebar Toastmasters has been going from strength to strength since it the first meeting in 2016. Our aim is to help individuals become better communicators through leadership training and public speaking practice. Through our Educational Program, members gain new confidence in their communication and leadership skills. Our club is a friendly, dynamic and safe place to not only learn new skills but to make new friends and have fun too.
In a meeting, you have the opportunity to give prepared speeches as well as brief, impromptu presentations known as Table Topics. There is no rush and no pressure: the Toastmasters program always allows you to progress at your own pace. Having said that you will be surprised at how quickly you get comfortable at standing up and speaking in public.
I hope you have the opportunity to attend one of meetings and would encourage you to come along to our next meeting as our guest. If you want to find out more, please contact us through the link below.
